Thanks for all the information! My first two childbirths were medicated (I was young and poorly educated with the first so the pain was beyond manageable, the seocnd was out of fear of a repeat of the first...totally not necessary for pain medication, but I was scared. This is our last child and I am ready to claim the birth I lost with my second!) and I'm very excited about hypnobirthing!

Thanks, Liz! Feel free to tell anyone else you know who is interested about my site! My husband and I are trying to get the word out about it but it's slow going. It's just nice to have a site where I can talk about one of my passions, natural childbirth, freely and openly. Thanks for reading! If you would like, email me your birth story (when it happens) and I'll share it on here. :) fiona.judd (at) gmail dot com

Hi Fiona!

I am currently 32 weeks pregnant with my first and am almost finished with my HypnoBirthing class. I was lead to your site while online looking for HypnoBirthing scripts. I was reading about Everett's birth and noticed your mid-wife was Roberta (which is the name of one of my mid-wives). Lo and Behold, when I looked at your About Me, you live in Utah and use the Mt. Timp CNMs too! Small world.

I currently live in Herriman, but the 30 minute commute to American Fork is a small sacrifice to pay for peace of mind about my baby's birth. Two of my sisters had multiple natural births with the Mt. Timp CNMs and I was lucky enough to have them as examples. But neither of them had really heard about HypnoBirthing and their initial responses to me taking the class were as sceptical as anyone else. Of course, once they better understood that HypnoBirthing was about deep relaxation, and they themselves had practised forms of self-hypnosis during their birthings, they were a bit more understanding.

Anyway, I don't mean to go on and on...but, fabulous little website! I'm glad I stumbled upon it. Thanks for sharing your positive birthing experiences.
