This is a great little article and video explaining the benefits of delayed cord clamping and cutting. I especially like that she mentioned that it is still beneficial to delay cutting the cord even if the baby has meconium or needs resuscitation. My second baby, Everett, had meconium in the water and I feel strongly that we both would have fared much better in the few hours after birth if the cord had been left intact.
